Titanium and Purple Everyday Carry - Sem Koot (@sem_koot_edc)

Sem Koot (pronounced “coat”) brings something far less common to the EDC table: a yoyo. “Skill toys”, as they are known, are certainly a niche facet, but obviously still live on in the hands of people like Sem.

Hi Taylor,

I'm a 20 year old engineering student from the Netherlands and this is some of my favourite gear.

The flashlight gets used a lot, especially during night walks and longboard rides.

The fixed blade was a giveaway price from "Knives And Tools" and is surprisingly functional for its size. I don't use it a lot but it's nice to have with me (Not during classes)

The pen is a must have during classes and the TI Click has to be my favourite. Its comfortable, has a great clip, takes every refill I'll ever use and best of all it's quiet.

The custom Victorinox is quite new and it's a perfect non threatening tool for when I'm at school/in public.

The yoyo is also new. I've always been into skill toys and I've missed practicing yoyo tricks. Last time was 4 years ago and my old yoyo was beaten up from use. So I decided to treat myself and bought myself a new one.

And lastly the hank has a microfiber backing and is used to clean my glasses and screens.

Seeking

Looking to add some "trash" to my carry. A titanium or glow bead for the Victorinox, and a fidget coin of some sort.

Taylor: Pocket trash is a booming part of EDC, so it’s tough to suggest something specific. But titanium sliders are my newest trinket. The Billetspin Gambit coins are a lot of fun and would fit the bill for a fidget coin and pocket trash, as you can mix and match some exotic materials and get it in a stemless top variant.

As for beads, I’d recommend either Urban Carvers or ZeroFeud.
