Leather and Titanium Everyday Carry – Taylor Martin

A little new, a little old.

I’m trying to get back to the days of carrying less. It’s not exactly easy.

No matter what new knife I get, I keep coming back to this Peña, It’s easily one of my favorite knives of all time.

The same can be said for the LynchNW All Access Pass. People ask why I need a pry tool in my EDC and why I choose to use an $80+ one. It boils down to this: The LynchNW pry tools have a pocket clip. I don’t like using something that’s attached to my keys and adding some sort of quick detach option adds bulk and inconvenience. So I keep this clipped in my pocket to always have on hand when I need to remove a plate from a camera, which I do multiple times per day. Popping bottle tops is also an added benefit.

I’ve gone through a lot of different pens over the last year or so and I think Tactile Turn takes the cake for my favorite right now. I don’t use it a ton, but these Tactile Turn Bolt Action Minis are a joy to write with.

The Prometheus Beta QRv2 was a personal gift from Jason. It’s a pre-production titanium model — one of their first that was machined in-house. The quick release on Prometheus gear is awesome as it doesn’t add bulk but keeps the light always within reach and it can be quickly detached without looking.

The Misc Goods Co. Leather Wallet was recommended to me by my buddy Peter. He says he always comes back to this wallet and has no complaints. I’ve been seeking a more minimal wallet so I figured I’d give this one a spin.

Finally, I promised I wouldn’t get into watches and that promise was broken mere weeks later. And the more I try to resist, the deeper I get sucked into it. This Glycine is just the latest example of me having little to no impulse control when it comes to EDC gear. It’s classy, built well, and I imagine it’s going to be a staple in my collection for some time.
