This is the EDC I’ve been carrying lately. It’s pretty simple, but I love it! As you can tell, I have a thing for all black everything!
My bugout is essential as it’s super light and razor-sharp. I’m a college student and I walk around campus a lot, so having something that’s light is crucial to me. I also carry the i3T EOS from Olight, a great little knife for a great little price! Along with that is my fisher space bullet pen, which is tiny as can be, so it’s perfect when I want it to disappear in my pockets.
Being a college student, I’m on a budget, so the Summit seemed like the best option from Trayvax. And honestly, I love it. It’s exactly what I need — sleek, minimal, cheap, secure, and it holds the perfect amount of cards for me.
Finally my keychain. Honestly, it’s a bit of a weird setup, but it works for me! On my keyring, I’ve got my keys, a Gerber Shard, a Pete’s Pirate Life Zipper Pull (because you’ve got to Fly the Flag!), and most importantly, an Olight i1R EOS. I have an i1R 2 EOS, but it’s just ever so slightly bigger, and I’m not as much a fan of the beam. Also attached is a lanyard with a black Jolly Roger Bead from Casey Lynch. The lanyard is perfect because I keep my keys in my front left pock, and the bead just sticks out so I just have to grab it when I need my keys.
Not pictured, I have my Carry Commission Topo Mighty Mini, but it didn’t fit the black EDC look I wanted for this picture. I also carry an iPhone 11 and a black Apple Watch Series 3.
Honestly, the i1R has a brighter beam than my i3T, so I’d love a different flashlight, roughly the same size as the i3T, but that has a much brighter beam. Preferably black too!
